Designed as a rental property for weddings, family reunions and the like to compliment the owner’s adjacent property, Vermont Vernacular, the design needed to emulate the existing structures in order to compliment the property as a whole. The structure wanted to be compact and efficient while still functioning on a high level for large groups of friends and/or families.
The client also wanted to renovate an existing sugar house into a more usable energy efficient structure with an open floor plan to accommodate large groups and celebrations while still in the form of a sugarhouse.
