We worked with the client from the beginning on this project in assessing which of the various lots would best suit the project goals by understanding site development costs in conjunction with purchase price, cost of construction and design costs in order for the client to decide how best to proceed on a well-defined budget.
The client wanted to feel embraced by the lot and surrounding forest and therefor decided to act with restraint in clearing trees and modifying the site more than necessary despite potential for far off mountain views. By working through various designs and prioritizing project goals, we developed a home that was budget driven while still accomplishing all client goals of being the cabin in the woods.
This project has been authorized to break ground this late fall and should be complete by late summer 2018. Stay tuned.
