CURRENT PROJECT

Shingle Style Mountain Home

Scene 1

We first worked with this client in 2007 on a small addition to their former residence, and we were thrilled when they called on us to design a new home for them.

Having vacationed in Stowe, Vermont for many years as their family grew up, their needs had expanded and were looking for something with plenty of space in anticipation of their children’s growing families. We worked together to find the ideal lot on which to build their expansive new residence located in a well-established neighborhood in the heart of Stowe, Vermont. We were hired to create the initial site development and home design plan and we put our heart and soul into these designs - and the concepts represented the client’s specific tastes and design goals.

This mountain shingle style home features a large timber frame and a Rumford style masonry wood burning fireplace clad in fieldstone, workshop, and a large open mudroom for the family; a great space to serve the ebb and flow of family members as they head out on family adventures to Stowe Mountain Resort, Trapp Family Lodge and Cady Hill Forest.
